Corine Creech
DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Corine Creech is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at Inova. She specializes in surgical intervention of the foot and ankle, with a wide range of interests including correction of bunions and hammertoes, tendon disorder repair, complex deformity correction, limb salvage, trauma care, arthritis prevention and repair, and total ankle replacement.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Creech completed her podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency training at Temple University Hospital, a large, inner-city Level 1 Trauma Center, where she underwent extensive training in foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction.
Dr. Creech is a national and international lecturer on minimally invasive surgical solutions for bunions and hammertoes, Achilles damage and trauma, fractures, and arthritis. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Creech is passionate about education and research. She is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medicine Association. She serves on Inova Fairfax Medical Campus’s foot and ankle surgery residency training committee and as the program’s research director.
Having gone through several lower extremity surgeries herself, as well as competing as a Division I college athlete, Dr. Creech offers a unique and compassionate approach to patient care and recovery. She is passionate about patient care and communication.
Dr. Creech is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she also played varsity soccer for four years.
Zachary Flynn
DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Zachary Flynn, DPM is a podiatrist practicing at Arizona Foot Health in Phoenix, Arizona. He is board certified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot & ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Flynn’s goal is to deliver top-quality care to his patients in a warm and welcoming environment. He takes a collaborative approach to care, partnering with patients to determine the best possible treatment plan to help them achieve their goals.
Dr. Flynn completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. After graduation, Dr. Flynn was accepted to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center’s residency program in Hartford, Connecticut, where he received invaluable training in forefoot reconstruction, hindfoot and ankle instruction, trauma, and diabetic limb salvage.
After completing his residency, Dr. Flynn furthered his surgical expertise in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and total joint replacement by completing the Dr. Lawrence DiDomenico’s fellowship program in Youngstown, Ohio. Through this program, he gained valuable insights into performing limb salvage, Charcot reconstruction, revision surgery, and total ankle replacement. The totality of his expertise gives Dr. Flynn a unique advantage, combining advanced training, surgical knowledge, and the patient skills to successfully treat the most complex lower extremity pathologies.

Dr. Benjamin D. Umbel, D.O. is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Umbel strongly believes establishing a trusting relationship with his patients and advocating for their needs should be at the center of their orthopedic care. Dr. Umbel was born and raised in a small town outside of Youngstown, OH. He earned summa cum laude honors while completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baldwin Wallace University.
